Shares of QuantumScape (QS) were trading sharply higher near noon, adding to Thursday’s major gains as traders processed news that Panasonic (PCRFY) unveiled it was working on anode-free solid-state battery technology similar to that of QuantumScape, according to Parameter.io. Parameter.io also noted that the news coincided with Form 4 filings that revealed insider stock sales at QuantumScape, with director Jeffrey Straubel exercising stock options and selling shares worth roughly $1.75M on September 12. Meanwhile, there is market speculation of a potential partnership between QuantumScape, Panasonic, and Tesla (TSLA), as QuantumScape shares a board connection with Tesla through Straubel, Tesla’s former CTO, the report noted.
