The U.K. takeover panel has extended the deadline for a takeover offer of Alphawave IP (AWEVF) by Qualcomm (QCOM) until May 12, Reuters’ Yamini Kalia reports. Alphawave is in talks with Qualcomm and has agreed to extend the previous deadline of April 29 for the U.S. chipmaker to make a formal bid, as required by regulations, Kalia writes. Alphawave is considering selling itself after unsuccessful discussions with Arm (ARM), according to previous reports.
