Qiagen (QGEN) shares jumped 4% and were halted for volatility after Bloomberg’s Eyk Henning, Dinesh Nair, David Carnevali and Michelle Davis reported that the European molecular testing company is weighing strategic options, including a potential sale, as it has received renewed takeover interest. People with knowledge of the matter said the company is working with advisers as its supervisory board fields preliminary interest from potential suitors, adding that Qiagen has held talks with several possible buyers in recent weeks, the report indicated.
