A pro-Iranian cybercrime outfit has claimed responsibility for hacks of Chime (CHYM) and Pinterest (PINS) that forced the websites of both companies offline, Bloomberg’s Margi Murphy and Paige Smith report. Chime suffered a distributed-denial-of-service attack on April 1, a person familiar with the matter told Bloomberg, while Pinterest on Tuesday was also hit briefly in a similar attack, with the pro-Iranian group taking credit for both hacks.
