Pool Corp. CEO Peter Arvan to step down, John Watwood to succeed

Pool Corp. (POOL) announced that its board of directors has appointed John Watwood as president and CEO, effective May 4. Peter Arvan will step down as president and CEO and as a member of the company’s board of directors on the same date. John Stokely, chair of the board, has also been appointed as executive chair. Watwood joined the company as executive VP in January. Prior to his transition to Pool Corp., Watwood most recently served as senior VP of sales and operations at Motion Industries, a subsidiary of Genuine Parts Company (GPC).
