Palantir (PLTR) has become a flashpoint in campaigns across the U.S. as candidates face scrutiny over ties to the company, Joe Miller of The Financial Times reports. For example, in Texas, TV advertising by Democratic challenger Colin Allred has accused representative Julie Johnson of “making thousands (of dollars) from the company (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) uses to track and detain our neighbours.” Following the two fatal shootings by federal agents in Minneapolis, Democrats have placed blame on Palantir’s work for the ICE, since it helps track and manage deportations.
