Oracle (ORCL) is on the hook for tens of billions to build “unprecedentedly” large data centers, including $1B per year on a gas-powered megasite in West Texas, Bloomberg’s Brody Ford reports, citing people familiar with the plans. Oracle is helping power Elon Musk’s xAI from a data center in Utah, assembling a cluster of tens of thousands of AI chips for Nvidia (NVDA) near Singapore and recently signed a cloud deal with OpenAI, the report notes.
