OpenClaw creator Peter Steinberger said on a podcast with Lex Fridman that he was weighing offers from Meta Platforms (META) and OpenAI, including a personal outreach from Mark Zuckerberg, Sources’ Alex Heath reports. Despite Meta offering more compensation, Steinberger ultimately chose OpenAI-led by Sam Altman-citing stronger alignment with its vision and a desire for impact over pay, having already achieved financial success from his prior startup, PSPDFKit, according to the report.
