Microsoft (MSFT)-backed OpenAI intends to discontinue the app for its Sora video generation platform, a product it released last year that has shrunk from public view despite early popularity, the Wall Street Journal’s Berber Jin reports. The move is one of a number of steps the ChatGPT maker is taking to refocus on business and coding functions ahead of a possible public listing as soon as the fourth quarter of this year, the author says.
