OpenAI looking for areas to deprioritize, WSJ says

Fidji Simo, OpenAI’s CEO of applications, has previewed company changes to employees in an all-hands meeting, indicating that the company’s top management – including CEO Sam Altman and chief research officer Mark Chen – are actively looking to deprioritize some areas of the business, The Wall Street Journal’s Berber Jin reports. The top executives are said to believe that a “do everything all at once” strategy has put them on the defensive, and the company should refocus on coding and business users.
