Microsoft (MSFT)-backed OpenAI has cut the time and resources it spends on testing the safety of its AI models, Cristina Criddle of The Financial Times reports. This move has raised concerns the technology is being rushed out without the proper safeguards. The company’s tests have become less thorough, with insufficient time and resources dedicated to identifying and mitigating risks, as OpenAI comes under more pressure to retain its competitive edges, eight people familiar with the process told the Times.
