OpenAI has accused Elon Musk’s xAI of “systematic and intentional destruction” of evidence in its lawsuit, saying xAI used “ephemeral messaging tools” that auto-delete communications, Bloomberg’s Madlin Mekelburg reports. OpenAI claims that xAI directed employees to use these tools to destroy evidence, leaving OpenAI at an “inequitable disadvantage” and is seeking a court order to stop xAI employees from using disappearing messaging tools.
