Opco sees MSCI as ‘unlikely winner for fading U.S. exceptionalism’

Oppenheimer keeps a Perform rating on MSCI (MSCI) following the company’s Q1 report. The company’s index-linked funds have seen inflows under the “sell the America” trade, which will bode well for the stock should the trend continue, the analyst tells investors in a research note. The firm says this makes MSCI an “unlikely winner for fading U.S. exceptionalism.” Oppenheimer believes that if the current level of MSCI World Index persists, the company’s expense could land at low end of the guidance range.
