New York City’s, NYC, pension funds have issued a subpoena for former Warner Music (WMG) CEO and current FuboTV (FUBO) executive chairman Edgar Bronfman Jr. to testify in their lawsuit to block the Skydance-Paramount (PARA) (PARAA) merger, Josh Kosman of The New York Post reports, citing two sources close to the situation. The pension funds hope Bronfman can show whether Project Rise Partners has submitted a legitimate bid to challenge Skydance’s $8B deal to merge with Paramount, a source with direct knowledge of the case said.
