Aletheia notes that Nvidia’s (NVDA) Rubin GPU is scheduled for mass production this quarter, but reports that the firm’s latest industry checks suggest a pivot from a dual-lid to a single-lid heat spreader design due to the former failing to meet stringent requirements. The firm expects Rubin’s chip-on-wafer production to be temporarily suspended and sees it as “unlikely to resume until this mechanical issue is fully resolved,” it tells investors.
