Nvidia (NVDA) plans to open a quantum computing research lab in Boston with plans to collaborate with scientists from Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institue of Technology, Stephen Nellis of Reuters reports, citing comments made by CEO Jensen Haung at the company’s annual software developer conference. The company added the program after CEO Huang said in January useful quantum computers are 20 years away, comments he sought to walk back from at the conference.
