PLAYING THIS WEEKEND: For Amazon Prime Video (AMZN) subscribers, action thriller series “The Terminal List: Dark Wolf” is available to stream this weekend, starring Taylor Kitsch and Chris Pratt. Prime users can also catch the new season of comedy series “Upload,” starring Robbie Amell. Meanwhile, Netflix (NFLX) subscribers can watch the new season of lifestyle TV series “With Love, Meghan,” starring Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, as well as crime comedy film “The Thursday Murder Club,” directed by Chris Columbus and starring Pierce Brosnan, Helen Mirren, Ben Kingsley, and Celia Imrie. Additionally, Disney+ (DIS) subscribers can stream Marvel Comics film “Thunderbolts*,” which first released in theaters in May.

WARNER BROS./BRAD SINGER: Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) announced that Brad Singer will assume the role of Chief Financial Officer of Warner Bros., upon completion of the company’s planned separation, which is expected to occur by mid-2026, subject to closing and other conditions. He will report to David Zaslav, President and Chief Executive Officer of WBD and future President and Chief Executive Officer of Warner Bros., and oversee Warner Bros.’ global financial functions and strategies, including FP&A, accounting, internal audit, treasury, tax, procurement, and investor relations activities. Singer will begin in this new position in October 2025 in a strategic role until the official formation of Warner Bros, the company stated.

FOX/YOUTUBE TV: In a Thursday (GOOGL) said, “We’re happy to share that we’ve reached an agreement with Fox (FOX) to keep their content on YouTube TV, preserve the value of our service for our subscribers and offer more flexibility in the future. This means that Fox channels, including the Fox Broadcast Network, Fox News, and Fox Sports, remain available for our subscribers along with 100+ channels and football fans will not miss any of the action this weekend.”

DISNEY/SLING TV: Disney has filed a lawsuit against Dish Network (SATS) claiming its new packages for Sling TV, which let users subscribe to the service for as little as 24 hours, violate the terms of its programming distribution agreements, Variety’s Todd Spangler reported, citing the suit. Disney is seeking to have the service remove the company’s networks from the packages. “Sling TV’s new offerings, which they made available without our knowledge or consent, violate the terms of our existing license agreement,” a Disney rep said in a statement. “We have asked the court to require Dish to comply with our deal when it distributes our programming.

‘KPOP DEMON HUNTERS’: Netflix’s “KPop Demon Hunters” topped U.S. and Canadian box offices during a two-day theatrical debut, Sohee Kim and Thomas Buckley of Bloomberg reported. The film, produced by Sony (SONY), is estimated to gross $18M-$20M over last weekend. This is a rare win for Netflix, which usually avoids the box office for its original movies, the report noted.

NETFLIX HOUSE: In a company blog post, Netflix editorial director Henry Goldblatt said, “You’ve invited us into your home for more than two decades, and very soon, we’ll be able to return the favor by welcoming you into ours. Netflix House is opening in Philadelphia at King of Prussia on Nov. 12 and in Dallas at Galleria Dallas on Dec. 11…Netflix House is free to enter and explore! WORLD BASEBALL CLASSIC: Netflix said earlier this week that it will become the new home of the 2026 World Baseball Classic in Japan, as part of an exclusive media rights partnership with World Baseball Classic, an organization that is owned by Major League Baseball and jointly operates the World Baseball Classic tournament with the Major League Baseball Players Association. This collaboration marks the first time Netflix will deliver live coverage of the World Baseball Classic to Japanese audiences. Through this agreement, Netflix will stream all 47 games of the 2026 World Baseball Classic live and on-demand for viewers in Japan, offering comprehensive coverage of all the electrifying action, star athletes, and memorable moments that define the tournament.

STOCK PLAYS: Other publicly traded companies in the space include AMC Networks (AMCX), Apple (AAPL), Paramount Skydance (PSKY), Comcast (CMCSA), FuboTV (FUBO), and Roku (ROKU).
