Nintendo’s (NTDOY) Switch 2 console has set a new all-time launch week record in terms of unit sales for gaming hardware in the U.S., with over 1.1M consoles sold during the week ending June 7, 2025, excluding sales from the My Nintendo Store, according to Circana’s Mat Piscatella. The prior record was held by Sony‘s (SONY) PlayStation 4, Piscatella added. The Fly notes that the Switch 2 was first released on June 5, 2025.
