Argus raised the firm’s price target on National Fuel (NFG) to $80 from $69 and keeps a Buy rating on the shares. The higher Q1 earnings were largely the result of strong year-over-year profit growth in the Pipeline and Storage-Mid- stream and Utility-Downstream businesses, which more than offset softness within the Gathering segment, the analyst tells investors in a research note. Its increased guidance for the year reflects better-than-expected Q1 results and the anticipated impact of higher natural gas prices and higher production in the Upstream E&P segment for the remainder of 2025, the firm says.
