Shares of M&T Bank were slipping in afternoon trading after the company said at the RBC Capital Markets Global Financial Institutions Conference that “things are kind of soft” in Q1 so far following a “stellar” year in 2025. The bank added that there’s “nothing gangbusters” happening on the loan side or either side of thte balance sheet. M&T’s shares are down 1.4% in afternoon trading.
