News network MSNBC will alter its name to My Source News Opinion World, or MS NOW, as part of its corporate separation from Comcast’s (CMCSK) (CMCSA) NBC, the Associated Press’ David Bauder reports. The network has been creating its own separate news unit from NBC News and will remove NBC’s famed peacock symbol from its logo as part of the update, the author says. The move is part of NBC Universal’s decision to spin off cable networks USA, CNBC, MSNBC, E!, Oxygen, and the Golf Channel into a new company called Versant, the author notes.
