Morning Movers: Intel slipping ahead of holiday shortened-session

Stock index futures are little changed ahead of the holiday shortened session after the benchmark S&P 500 set a record on Tuesday. U.S. stock markets are due to close at 1 pm ET with bond markets closing at 2 pm ET.

In pre-market trading, S&P 500 futures are down 0.03%, Nasdaq futures are flat and Dow futures are down 0.06%.

HIGHER –

  • Dynavax Technologies (DVAX) – up 40% after Sanofi (SNY) agreed to acquire all outstanding shares for $15.50 per share in cash, reflecting a total equity value of $2.2B
  • Nike (NKE) – up 3% after a filing showed that boardmember and Apple (AAPL) CEO Tim Cook purchased $2.95M worth of Nike shares on December 22
  • AST SpaceMobile Inc. (ASTS) – up 3% after launching its largest-ever satellite from India

LOWER –

  • Intel (INTC) – down 3% after Reuters reported that Nvidia (NVDA) recently tested out whether it would manufacture its chips using Intel’s 18A production process, but stopped moving forward
