Mizuho positive on Vaxcyte after HHS maintains PCV schedule for children

Mizuho analyst Salim Syed said the firm is positive on Vaxcyte (PCVX) after the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services approved a revised childhood and adolescent immunization schedule, though there is no change to the pneumococcal conjugate vaccine schedule for children. The Fly notes that Vaxcyte’s PCV franchise comprises of both VAX-31 and VAX-24, both of which the company says have the potential to improve upon existing pneumococcal vaccines.
