A Mitsubishi (MSBHF)-led consortium is exiting three offshore wind power projects in the Chiba and Akita prefectures amid profitability concerns, Nikkei Asia staff reports, citing a person familiar with the matter. The companies will pull out from the projects aimed at constructing offshore wind farms off the Japanese coast after a low bid and the inability to ensure profitability due to material inflation.
