Millicom (TIGO) announced a long-term commercial agreement with Trans Americas Fiber System to expand its international network infrastructure and resilience across Central America. As part of the partnership, Millicom will enhance its international capacity through the provider’s TAM-1 system, a next-generation subsea fiber optic network spanning approximately 7,000 kilometers. The company said the infrastructure will provide increased route diversity, improved network resilience, and greater scalability to meet the growing demand for high-capacity digital services in the region.
