Microsoft (MSFT) has agreed to rent a data center project in Texas representing about 700 megawatts of capacity that was originally being developed for Oracle (ORCL) and OpenAI, people familiar with the matter told Bloomberg’s Dina Bass and Brody Ford. Microsoft struck a deal for the site, adjacent to Oracle’s and OpenAI’s flagship Stargate campus, with developer Crusoe after the two companies walked away from talks to occupy the site, the report noted.
