On Tuesday, a group of current and former Microsoft (MSFT) workers joined community members in taking over a plaza at the company’s Redmond, Washington headquarters as part of a No Azure for Apartheid protest, which was staged in opposition to Microsoft’s Azure contract with the Israeli Defense Force, The Verge’s Hayden Field reports. The protesters, said they intend to occupy the plaza until they are forcibly removed, also set up a negotiating table with a sign inviting company executives to “come to the table” and terminate its partnership with Israel’s military, the author notes.
