Microsoft (MSFT) has shelved its own internal handheld Xbox console for now, which had been planned to launch around 2027 alongside a new home console, Windows Central’s Jez Corden reports. While the company still wants to make its own handheld gaming console in the future, it has opted to prioritize its teams to improve Windows 11 gaming performance, particularly for devices like ASUS partner device “Project Kennan,” the author notes.
