Microsoft (MSFT) plans to close its proposed $68.7B acquisition of Activision Blizzard (ATVI) next week, The Verge’s Tom Warren reports. According to a source familiar with the plans, Microsoft is looking at Friday, October 13 as the closing date of the deal. A final decision from the U.K.’s CMA is expected next week, and barring any surprise last-minute changes, should allow Microsoft to close the deal, Warren writes.
