Microsoft commences ‘deep’ cuts across Xbox unit, Bloomberg reports

Microsoft (MSFT) is starting “deep” cuts across its Xbox unit, Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier reports. Its King division, which makes Candy Crush, is laying off 10% of its staff, or about 200 jobs, while other European offices, such as ZeniMax, have also started informing employees that job cuts are happening, according to people familiar with the plans. U.S. units are expected to be told on Wednesday how many jobs will be cut at each office. This is the fourth mass layoff at Xbox in the last 18 months.
