Microsoft’s (MSFT) Xbox is canceling video game “Contrabrand,” which was being developed by Avalanche Studios and was first unveiled in 2021 but had little to no further marketing since then, Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier reports, citing sources. The news comes weeks after Microsoft laid off thousands of workers and canceled a number of big Xbox titles, including “Everwild” and “Perfect Dark,” the author notes.
