Meta’s chief artificial intelligence scientist Yann LeCun, who recently announced he would be leaving the company is in early discussions to raise EUR 500M for his start-up, Ivan Levingston and Melissa Heikkila of The Financial Times reports. LeCun has also lined up Alexandre LeBrun, founder of Nabla, as CEO, people familiar with the matter told the Times. LeCun is targeting a valuation of EUR 3B for his startup, but discussions are in the early stages and could change, the sources added.
