Meta has rolled out a new super PAC to help fend off what it views as onerous AI and tech policy legislation across the U.S., Axios’ Ashley Gold reports. The Facebook parent’s nonfederal PAC, which will be overseen by longtime Republican operative Brian Baker and Democratic consulting firm Hilltop Public Solutions, will focus on electing state candidates from both parties, the author says, noting the PAC will be called the American Technology Excellence Project.
