Meta Platforms in advanced talks to acquire PlayAI, Bloomberg reports

Meta Platforms (META) is in advanced discussions to buy PlayAI, a startup that uses AI to replicate voices, Bloomberg’s Margi Murphy and Kurt Wagner reports. According to people familiar with the matter, Meta is expected to buy the startup’s technology and some of its employees, though the deal is not yet finalized and financial terms could not be learned.
