Meta is challenging Ofcom in UK High Court over the Online Safety Act, which calculates levies based on global, not UK, revenue, in a case scheduled for October, Reuters’ Sam Tobin reports. Meta argues Ofcom’s approach is disproportionate and unlawful, and could result in fines larger than any imposed by a UK regulator.
