Nintendo’s (NTDOY) “Mario Kart World,” a Switch 2 exclusive title, was the best-selling game in Japan for the week of July 7-13, according to sales data from Famitsu. Bandai Namco’s (NCBDY) “Tamagotchi Plaza” and “Patapon 1+2 REPLAY,” both on Switch 1, were second and third in sales, respectively, while other Switch 1 games “Mario Kart 8 Deluxe,” “Animal Crossing: New Horizons,” and “Super Mario Party Jamboree” followed in fourth, fifth, and sixth places. The best-selling game not on a Nintendo console in Japan for the week was Kojima Productions’ “Death Stranding 2: On the Beach,” which is currently a PlayStation 5 (SONY) exclusive title.
