Manulife Financial (MFC) announced that it has received approval from the Toronto Stock Exchange for its previously announced normal course issuer bid permitting the purchase for cancellation of up to 42M of its common shares, representing approximately 2.5% of Manulife’s issued and outstanding common shares. As at February 10, Manulife had 1,676,751,543 common shares issued and outstanding. The Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions previously approved the NCIB.
