As part of a strategic plan approved by Lionsgate’s Executive Committee that aims to enhance productivity and achieve greater cost efficiencies, Lionsgate is offering a voluntary severance and early retirement program to its U.S.-based employees, reported Deadline’s Jill Goldsmith, citing a company memo sent by CEO Jon Feltheimer. The company is starting now with a voluntary approach, but “layoffs could be a next step depending upon how many staffers take up the packages, which are focused at Lionsgate Studios,” Deadline said.
