LendingClub initiated with a Market Perform at Citizens JMP

Citizens JMP analyst David Scharf initiated coverage of LendingClub (LC) with a Market Perform rating and no price target The firm believes consensus 2026 estimates have a greater downward bias than upward bias. While encouraged by LendingClub’s expanding profitability this year, the analyst says the company’s “uneven” operating history and financial performance remain an overhang on the shares.
