The company and Mars remain optimistic that this investigation will be positively resolved and that antitrust approval from the European Commission will be obtained. Based on the timeline of the European Commission’s Phase II investigation, the company now expects the merger to close towards the end of 2025; however, the exact timing of the completion of merger cannot be predicted with any certainty.
