U.S. District Judge Julien Neals in Newark, New Jersey determined that Apple (AAPL) will have to face the U.S. Department of Justice’s lawsuit accusing the company of unlawfully dominating the U.S. smartphone market, Reuters’ Jody Godoy reports. The judge denied the tech giant’s motion to dismiss the lawsuit claiming the company uses restrictions on third-party app and device developers to keep users from shifting to competitors, the author notes.
