Following the sudden collapse of First Brands Group, Jefferies has been facing an influx of questions due to its deep ties to the auto parts maker, Alexander Gladstone and Lauren Thomas of The Wall Street Journal reports. Earlier this week, CEO Rich Handler and President Brian Friedman issued a statement detailing the bank as sound and that its bankers were unaware of any fraud at First Brands. Additionally, Jefferies has stressed it is just one of many companies who worked with First Brands.
