J.B. Hunt price target raised to $285 from $235 at Argus

Argus analyst John Eade raised the firm’s price target on J.B. Hunt (JBHT) to $285 from $235 and keeps a Buy rating on the shares after its Q1 earnings beat last week. The firm notes that demand is improving as the economy strengthens while capacity is shrinking amid recent regulatory developments and associated enforcement of English language requirements for truck drivers, with these developments having helped the company increase demand and pricing, the analyst tells investors in a research note. J.B. Hunt exited the bid season for its largest segment, Intermodal, with modest pricing improvement for the first time in two years, Argus added.
