Iridex CEO David Bruce to transition out of company, Patrick Mercer to succeed

Iridex announced the appointment of Patrick Mercer as the company’s CEO and president effective October 1. Previously, Mercer served as the company’s chief operating officer and president. David Bruce, the company’s prior CEO, is transitioning from the company. Coincident to Mercer’s appointment, Scott Shuda was appointed executive chairman of the company’s board of directors. Shuda had previously served as chairman.
