Intel (INTC) is in discussions to acquire AI chip startup SambaNova for $1.6B, including debt, Ryan Gould, Liana Baker, and Ian King of Bloomberg reports, citing people familiar with the matter. The deal could come together as soon as next month, the sources told Bloomberg. The terms and the timing of the deal could change, and it is possible that SambaNova could opt to pursue another path, the sources added.
