RBC Capital analyst Ken Herbert reiterated an Outperform rating and C$50 price target on MDA Space (MDA) after NASA announced its intent to pause Gateway during its “Ignition” event Tuesday. The firm believes the fundamental impact to MDA Space is “limited,” noting that the Canadarm3 program associated with Artemis is a contract with the Canadian Space Agency, and MDA has called out no change to this contract as work on the program continues to progress as expected. The firm added that it continues to believe MDA Space is well positioned to benefit from increased investments in the broader space ecosystem.
