IMAX, HOYTS Cinemas relaunch partnership for up to five new laser locations

IMAX (IMAX) announced a new agreement with HOYTS Cinemas for up to five state-of-the-art IMAX with Laser systems throughout Australia, reigniting the partnership between the two companies. The first new location is slated to open in Melbourne later in 2025, in advance of the release of “Avatar: Fire and Ash,” with up to an additional four locations to be identified for future expansion. IMAX said Australia currently ranks as its tenth largest market for box office.
