Honda (HMC) is considering plans to shift the production of models to the U.S. from Mexico and Canada in response to an additional 25% tariff imposed by Donald Trump on all imported vehicles, Nikkei Asia’s Shoya Okinaga reports, citing sources. The automaker will boost the production of automobiles in the U.S. by up to 30% over two to three years, enabling the company to meet 90% of unit sales in the country with locally produced cars.
