Mexican Economy Minister Marcelo Ebrard said in a post on X, formerly Twitter, that Honda (HMC) management in Mexico have spoken with the government and said they do not have plans to modify their production in the country, Reuters’ Raul Cortes reports. The comments came after Nikkei reported that the Japanese car maker was weighing moving some car output from Mexico and Canada to the U.S. in response to new tariffs, the author notes.
