Honda (HMC) plans to halt production in Japan and China from December 29 to January 6, showing the ongoing fallout of the global chip shortage, Bloomberg’s Nicholas Takahashi and Tsuyoshi Inajima report. All three of the facilities in its joint venture in China, Guangqi Honda Automobile Co., will be offline from December 29 to January 2, according to the report.
